Beginner Pottery: Throwing
Discover the joy of working with clay in this low commitment, three-hour introductory class. The Saturday Sampler offers an excellent opportunity to explore wheel throwing or hand building without the time investment of an eight-week course.
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, participants will learn the fundamentals of forming vessels on the potter’s wheel or through hand building techniques. Each participant may select two of their best pieces to be bisque-fired and glazed by our staff, or opt to glaze them personally in a future eight-week course.
Experience the satisfaction of creating with your hand, and discover whether pottery might become your next passion.
Finished pieces will be available for pick-up three to four weeks after the class.

Intermediate Pottery: Make Your Own Terracotta Planters
In this 4-week pottery class, you will design and throw your own large terracotta planters from scratch. These timeless, natural clay planters are perfect for brightening up your home, patio, or garden for the season ahead.
This is a warm, welcoming studio experience designed for makers who are ready to build on their existing wheel skills and take on a slightly bigger challenge.
We will work with warm terra cotta clay to create large planters with a natural finish and a height goal of about 40 cm.
Grow your skills and your confidence with this new class offering!
Your final piece will feature a classic natural terracotta surface, left unglazed for that warm, timeless look that pairs beautifully with greenery.
Finished pieces will be available for pick-up three to four weeks after the class.

Before Registration Date: A full refund (less a $25 administration fee) is available if you cancel by the registration deadline.
After Registration Date: For cancellations after the registration deadline or no-shows, we will be unable to issue any refund. If you need to cancel due to medical reasons (documentation required), a partial refund will be given.
